ESA NEW CLAIM AFTER SSP FINISHED was created by Cencen12
Hi everyone,

My ssp is due to finish on 23/12/16 I've already rang DWP and started the ball rolling with regards to my claim. They have now sent me a medical assessment for to fill in to decide which group I'm to be put in. But I'm a little confused as I'm still technically employed and only claim ESA due to ssp running out.

But I can't find any advice on anything about people in my situation and whether or not to fill the form in.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for all your advice and guidance. I put in a claim for P.I.P and was turned down. I then followed your advice and put in a MR and today I had the decision and it was over turned so I'm now on the standard rate for both daily and mobility.

Thank you

Hi Wl, it's good to 'see' you again. I'm very glad that you won your PIP battle :)

The DWP treat people still in work exactly the same as anyone else when it comes to the ESA claim, so you should fill in the ESA50 form in detail.

ESA claims and appeals

As always, please will you now keep all questions or comments about your ESA here rather than starting a new topic eachj time? You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
