ESA50 form returned - should I inform Maximus? was created by Alison
Hi there
I have finally completed and sent my ESA 50 form. It is a review assessment. I have spent a small fortune to send it Royal Mail special guaranteed delivery to arrive by 9am tomorrow - the deadline day.
I have just called the numbers on the original letter and reminder letter - 0345 608 8545 - to say the form will definitely arrive 9am tomorrow.
However, should I also be contacting Maximus? It was Maximus that appeared to send me the reminder letter. (I don't have a number for them.)
My reluctance to phone Maximus is due to the fact that this might automatically trigger a letter with a date for a face-to-face assessment. I'm hoping for just a paper assessment.
I was placed in the ESA Support group without a face-to-face around 11 months ago, under the exceptional circumstances rule. I'm hoping they will again do this, given the masses of supporting evidence I have sent - which has left me completely exhausted,
Also, I'm wondering for future reference - I sent the ESA50 to the address in Wolverhampton, that was on the pre-paid envelope. I did not use this envelope because I needed a bigger one. Was that ok?
Also, when Maximus sent my reminder letter, the address was my home city. Could I just have sent or hand-delivered the ESA50 form there?
Thanks
Alison

Hi Alison,
Well done for getting that form submitted!
I will try to answer your questions in order -
You don't need to inform anyone that the form is on its way. If you have called the number on the letters that should be more than enough.
Yes, you did the correct thing in sending the form to the address on the envelop you were sent. Everything goes via the mail handling centre in Wolverhampton these days. Your local JobCentre plays no part in the process.

Thanks, Mrs Hurtyback.
I'll be sure to return and report the outcome of my review/reassessment.
