Hi coral and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I'm sorry that this is upsetting you so much :(

To be honest, the quality of CAB help depends on the knowledge and experience of the adviser, some are better than others! With funding being cut, some centres are also struggling to give the time needed to fill out the forms properly.

Having said that, a good adviser can be worth their weight in gold!

I suggest that you have a good look at our PIP guide before attending a CAB appointment so that you have a good idea of what you want to say.

PIP help for claimants

If you then find the CAB adviser to be helpful, that will be great. Otherwise you will be able to use our guide to ensure you submit the best claim possible.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions ot queries about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one topic - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

It obviously depends on your limitations, those assessing you will consider how you get to and from the assessment and will make assumptions about your limitations if you drive yourself.

They will also make assumptions if you attend on your own so be aware of this.

Don't assume that there will be parking at the assessment centre, even if there is it may only be for staff.
