Carers allowance was created by suz
Hi I am currently in the process of claiming PIP from DLA, also my husband is in the process of claiming carers allowance for me, my mum is filling out Attendance allowance forms and as my husband helps her every day I am worried if she states this they will think he cant be caring for me as well, he only takes her to the shops and picks up prescription etc, does things around the house occasionally but is there for her if she needs help.
Any advice would be appriciated.

There's no requirement for her to make any reference to your husband in her application for AA.

Ahh ok, I was using the Attendance allowance guide on here referring to Question 16, it said if its not filled in they may decide shes not getting any help so doesnt need any, and to state she gets help but suggests she puts down that she does not want to give names.

There's no requirement for her to name the relative who is providing her with assistance.

Providing your husband is able to and is providing you with 35 hours of care a week there should be no problem with his claim.
