PIP OFFER to WITHDRAW APPEAL phoned TODAY !

good for you ,ime glad you didnt except there offer ,,like you said they awarded you nothing at forst ,, the system sucks and should be scrapped as they are making ill vulnerable people suffer even more when we are entitled to these benefits ,,it took almost a year from applying for pip until i finaly had date for tribunal in that time my mental heatlh has deteriated and am now on the higher meds than i was bk them ,all through worry and stress ,,had no support from cba or welfare right as they are so overrun with so many people going throught the same they cant possibly help everyone ,, this goverment seriously needs big changes in the rules and assesments of applying for both esa and pip . far too many are suffering financial loss and added health issues on top with all the worry ,,it disgracefull,. ,

UPDATE

Have reported the phone call and contents to my MPs office who have been assisting in contacting the DWP on my behalf. I won't get anywhere as I have no recording of the call.

I wish I had boght a recording device, but did not because of lack of funds and did not expect the DWP to have the Brass neck to try bullying someone into accepting a lower offer when they have solicitors letters.

Clearly they do not care how many laws they break.

Benefits is not a negotiation to accept the minimum amount of money.

JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THEY COULD STOOP NO LOWER !

Thankyou for your support and sorry we like others have had to go through this terrible ordeal.

Am sorry like me you have to take more meds as a result of this. I have just scaled mine back, since receiving the offer from the DWP I feel more confidence that its now just a matter of time
before common sense prevails or should i say its removed from the hands of the DWP to someone else who can make a decision in less than an hour. I don't intend to dwell on things after I win my appeal as otherwise they have won. Its the government who is continuing with this unfair system.

My MP has not been as much help as I thought but I am going to ring their office in a minute to chase them up and make them ring the DWP. They have to be reminded they are there to serve us.

I am amazed they are still defending the system rather than admitting there are problems.

Hope you can find the extra energy and positive thoughts to get back to normal after these trying times.

UPDATE :

The DWP have put in writing to the appeal court that they have awarded me high rate for Disability and nothing for looking after myself.

My MP has now referred my case to the Ministers office as they also believed the evidence proves to me getting high for both.

Will see how the DWP explains themselves to the minister !

I did say I would do this for the thousands that can't after reading such terrible stories on here. Needless to say the DWP were STUNNED into a DEAFENING SILENCE when I told them my case is been referred to the minister to find out why it was not passed earlier.

My MP said if people do not report things like this, they do not know its going on and mine is a Tory MP who voted for all the cuts.

I hope it will help in raising awareness for the thousands of people who like me are struggling to get the right benefits.

I had a phone call today offering me standard rate for bith mobility and daily living as long as I do not carry in with my appeal! I was on enhanced rate for both till last November after I won an appeal. I am more disabled than when I won my previous appeal. As you can guess I have declined their offer of standard rate. The lady said the offer will not be written in my pip notes and it will not be put on the system! Luckily I have the ladies name and direct number and I will write to the tribunal court and give them call logs and her name staying that they have offered me standard rate if i do bot go to appeal. They really are scumbags and cause so much stress. Hopefully I will have my appeal around November time as the wait in Birmingham is currently 35 weeks! I also have had my MP involved so I will inform him of this new revelation the DWP have put me through!
