Hi alicat,

I'm sorry that the decision was not what you expected or merit :(

As you say, if you wish to take this further your first step will be to request a Mandatory Reconsideration. It is uncommon for this to overturn the original decision but it does happen - we had a message today from a member who had a successful MR.

Well done for getting the assessor's report requested. When this arrives it will give you a better idea of how/why your claim failed.

The MR process is explained in the PIP guide so this should be your first port of call.

Please reply to this message with further questions or comments about your PIP, rather than starting a new topic each time. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now.
