I was on DLA with low care and High Mob,and in August i got rid of my old car and got a Mobility car,which is my only happyness and joy. I cannot inform you of my private health problems but my reward for forever.. cannot spell the right word because of dyesxia.

Without this car i cannot get the shopping and food I need, and also to go anywhere because of my nerve pains in my legs and weak arms meaning i cannot carry shopping....so

After my home visit I waited and today i opened my brown letter and no i can feel my brain shutting down and the life leave my face....

They have removed the Care part to save money, and dropped my High Mob to low as well.... for from £317.00 a month now to £87.20...!!! I had my 48 birthday last week and was happy, and now its lost and christmas feels like humbug. I have to appeal of course, they had 22 pieces of proof and i wrote a 16 pages of extra things which PIP forms do not cover.. like my struggles to clean the house, the stress of ironing etc. What ever the report the man wrote when he was at my house seems wrong in pieces.. like i looked well kempt, I was looking like shit on the day, messed up hair, full beard because this process made me stressed out. My meds had not kicked in and my answers was slow and i was struggling at 9.30am in the morning. I scored 10 points, thats 2 less for High mobility and so i have to inform them to rethink this shocking letter i got today... and even know my condition can only get worse as its a critical condition i have the low money until 2020..!!!! .Thanks for letting me rant today....

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

You don't mention what you scored the 10 points for, Moving Around and/or Going Out?

The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.

Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;

"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"

than their opinions

"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.

When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.
