Hello wonder if anyone can jelp . I have my tribuneral next Thursday worried to death had a terrible atos interview. awarded me 0 on everything except for mobility I made a complaint DWP stand by the way the report interview was done.

I have learning difficultys with mental depprestion and obisity. I would like to know what questions they will ask me as I think they have already made up they minds do these usually go to tribuneral. Said I have no problems preparing food as I can chop tomatoes. I said could do on a good day. He even said to me to watch my step as he live in same village as me.

He also said that I have no problems with my banking as I can do the serial sevens. I have educational psychologist report from 2002 which got me my DLA I was told still relevant as I'm dyslexic and may have a neurological problem somewhat because of delay in breathing when born.

He awarded me 4 points at least for mobility and I mean at least but I know its more

Hi Cyberman,

I'm sorry you are going through this :(

I cannot tell you exactly what questions you will be asked, this depends so much on your illnesses and what you have said on your claim form (I am assuming this is PIP as you have mentioned ATOS?). The tribunal panel will pay much less attention to the assessor's report and will want you to explain the problems you have completing the descriptor activities.

I'm afraid I am going to give you a lot of reading matter, I hope you have someone who will help you with this -

Firstly you should remind yourself of what you said on your PIP2 form and of the descriptors against which you believe you should score points.

The PIP guide explains the appeal process too

This is a link to a Youtube video that explains the ESA appeal. The process for a PIP appeal will be very similar except that there will be 3 members of the Tribunal Panel

try not to worry too much about the tribunal - as the people at mine were very kind and considerate and gave me plenty of time to explain my problems
they are there to understand your difficulties - NOT to fill boxes on a computer like the ATOS person

maybe make a list of anything you find difficult
things that are hard to do both physically, and/or mentally

I'm also worried my employment and support allowance will be affected. Is it comoon most cases like this are affected and go to a tribuneral and 60% successfully if you turn up.

Are they usually successful if claims go to tribuneral from DLA to pip :( and do a majority of illnesses like mine go to tribuneral.
