So how is this different to a "work group"?. Have read that on ESA it is not mandatory to go for work interviews or apply etc. Though did think this was done at the Jobcrntre, not an external group like is done with JSA.

In some ways it's is good to know things others not so much, as again this condition is taking in all things good and bad and losing any perspective. Which again is a reason why the support group, with none of this hanging, is the answer. All this is a reminder of how things were before getting to an environment without all this, it was only then I could see how anxious/depressed things were and how it was taken for granted.

PolaBear

Claimants with an ESA award are not required to work or to seek work, however, they can be required to prepare for work, this can be done at their local JC+ office or they can be forwarded on to the Work Programme which moist JSA claimants are.

As we have said before, entry to the SG is not a choice, you will only be placed in the group if you meet the criteria.

Have been a away from this for a while as the whole vibe of it led to sleepless nights and eventually being ill and sick from it. As I mentioned before this really isn't set up for this kind of "condition", as the more I was reading about good and bad examples and information that said one thing then another it was damaging focus and thoughts about other things, after all this is to help me grow further and improve, not to cause issues.

Had the form through this week, haven't looked at it yet but have read your guide on how to approach it. One of the things that seems to be a feeling is to write it in almost the third person, I think part of this is an anxiety thing another part would be that I don't consider myself "ill", although that's how I have to present it, I am me, it's finding and creating an environment that is right for me, obviously this isn't how I present it on theformas it's more the restrictions!

Can that way of writing be ok? The form says I have until February 10th so is a month.

If there is anyone on here with experience of approaching this from an HFA/Aspergers perspective and getting the support group as an outcome would appreciate any thoughts,

Whatever works for you to ensure you complete the form, just write a short note in the More Information section why you have chosen to write it this way.

Have now had a look at the ESA50 form, and after speaking with the consultant I have seen (long story) have a "Drs letter" saying more about my condition. This dr, who is t the only one I saw there, has basically copied and pasted a load of notes, including a load about job situations and environments I mentioned I couldn't do and why. Also then put the sentence "will continue to explore other employment, which suits his difficulties realising none would be perfect". Maybe this is an overanalysing thing (an austistic trait) but that doesn't sound like something I would want put on this letter, that sentence came from an appointment done when I was on JSA for a start, and also knew less than I do now about myself and my condition. The Dr who wrote this isn't the one with autism experience, like I said he has copied and pasted a load of notes. Am I right in thinking that the way that is written can also gave an impression that looking for work in a "jobcentre" situation was working for me, because the anxiety and restlessness from it was t working at all. The letter also mentions little about the comorbids (ADHD/anxiety/depression/OCD/PTSD) that come with all this??

The inconsistent nature of the Drs I have seen through all this (could do another forum just on that!) has caused this, though obviously evidence is a good thing to add and also he has written about things I can expend on.
