The ESA assessment process does not look at your ability to work, this is a conclusion that results from the assessment, so I'm afraid a letter that makes reference to your being to work or the types of work you might be able to do is unlikely to be of assistance to your claim.

You need evidence, if you can find it, that addresses your ability to complete the ESA activities.

So how do I use such an inexperienced consultant to get it? In some ways writing my own letter would have more content due to his lack of knowledge both of my personally and this situation.

It's causing me to burnout and have had little sleep past few nights. I don't want to and am not looking to throw away all the progress I have made, progress that has been made by being away from environments that aren't good for me.

You do not have to submit the consultant's letter if you do not think it will be helpful - or, even worse, if you think it might actually be detrimental to your claim.

Having no evidence is ok?

It's not ideal, but bad evidence can be far worse than no evidence.

You also need to consider that most evidence that your doctors will provide is medical and is unlikely to directly address your ability to complete the ESA activities and so may be of limited value. I know of people who have received an award with just a diagnosis letter and a detailed explanation of how their conditions meet the criteria.

What SG Descriptor(s) do you think you meet?

Coping with change and Coping with Sovial situations. There are a lot more things but from reading this form and other things it's seems that focusing in on a few things is better than writing 150 pages of my whole life story!

The fact that this procedure is causing anxiety/sleepless nights/loss of identity and thinking straight/restlessness and heavy stimming (patterns of touching or spinning etc) shows a lot of what I'm trying to get across, only now I don't have the perspective Iv had from being out of these kind of situations, this form and process is t really set up for what I'm looking to get across. Even the doctor mentions how invisible it is. Time and space is giving me perspective on that, that is why the support group is the important part. The WCAG is exactly the example of something this isn't a good environment for this kind of thing. As well as it being a diagnosis of ASD/HFA, the co-morbids of it are anxiety/depression/OCD/ADHD traits and trauma bought about from being in "Neurotypical" environments undiagnosed for so long, and not knowing any different with behaviour and reactions etc. Just a few years ago I wouldn't have been able to post this as it would have caused too much vulnerability and anxiety, it's only now I can see this as day to day I don't have to deal with an environment that doesn't work, and then the fatigue and burnout that came afterwards. Understimation means depression or rage or a feeling of being trapped. Overstimulation means over excitement or hyperactivity. Concentration on something for a while doesn't happen as I'd have to break away. Consistency doesn't happen as its mood related. It's only getting out of a work environment that I realise how heavily depressed I was, yet I knew all of these issues were there.

In terms of communication again it's very environmentally dependant. Social cues are hard to read and I can't do false, office "talk" or false "service" talk brings on anxiety and discomfort, and leads to being withdrawn. This would be linked to change too as communication that is unexpected becomes difficult to handle. Again this is hard to put into words. Having to be in a NT situation again causes burnout and vulnerability. Group work or environments cause anxiety as there is no relation.

There are a load more thing, constant stimming/insomnia/flashbacks/patterns of standing up then sitting down/repetitive sentences/constant restlessness/lack of or overstimulation/hard to focus and more but right now I have the time and space to deal with it. If right now I'm burned out anxious and restless because of this situation, I don't have the situation of having to deal with an environment on top of that, as if I'm up all night I can get sleep naturally, I don't have a routine/alarm (another situation that isn't good, set routines that are not of my control), or dont have to false talk my way through something. This issue right now though is the more I get into thinking about the situations and "wording" it, the less clarity I write with as it's done on fatigue and emotion.

In terms of coping with change repetitive and mundane behaviours as well as being in one place or environment can cause burnout/mania and fatigue, this then last longs after being in the environment and impacts any quality of life. Environmental sensitivity means noises and energies around can have a big negative impact on anxiety and depression in a instant, staying still brings on restlessness. As I mentioned before, having to "mask" this in an environment is unnatural" so can lead to burnout/insomnia and loss of any perspective. If something changes out of my thinking it's very hard to deal with but again that is hard to put into words.
