Hi Radhika,

Yes, we are referring to the paperwork that DWP hold in relation to your husband's DLA claim/s.

However, don't rely on DWP having anything you specifically want to see, you should send in copies of your own evidence even if you think DWP already have it.

Hi All,

I sent my husbands PIP2 and all the extra sheets for questions and reports, Special Delivery on Thursday last week.
This morning, I got the whole A4 folder back again minus PIP2 form, recorded delivery, with a letter enclosed stating that they have copied everything and have put it in my husbands claim file.
Has anyone else received their paperwork back from PIP in this manner?
Just a bit shocked, as I have never had this before.

Many Thanks
R

Hi Radhika,

I haven't heard of this before. Maybe members will have some experience of it.

Hi Radhika

Could it be that the A4 folder you sent which had the evidence was original and that they have photocopied this and sent back the original as the field I was in prior to leaving almost 3 years ago this is what we use to do any registered documents sent back and retain copies on file before it is misplace within the department.

If you sent original evidence with the forms are returned back to you after photocopying if sent by registered mail these are the rules of Government as I worked on the enquiry side and only speaking from my experience

We always advise members to send in only copies of documents as DWP do not usually return them :(
