Sorry to sound like a taxi driver - "And another thing"

One of the aids on which I rely very heavily is my electric height-adjustable profiling bed - complete with bed levers, special cushions (courtesy of my OT) and my hospital-sized table - necessary for a large laptop to sit in front of me. It (bed ++) is, a literal sense, a vital part of my support system.

I found that when I started in on the "Moving Around" section that I was putting that in there - since it's the place where I stand up and start moving from and end up moving to, most of the time.

Then I though that if they were looking at the "Can we say you can walk 200m" section, then a description of my bed would not seem very relevant.

If not there, then where? I did wonder if that's what Q15 is for, but I don't want this vital testimony to how I actually live day by day to seem like an afterthought.

I would put it in Q15, unless you can include it into any other activity.

A query about recording assessments:

I've been offered the loan of 2 old-fashioned cassette dictaphones. Problem is that the cassettes that they use are not the standard C90 ones. But they are cassettes - as per regulations.

Does ATOS accept these cassettes?

The requirement is that you record direct to tape or to CD, so I can't see any reason why these Dictaphones do not meet the requirement.

Since I submitted my form, but before the Atos interview, I've developed an extra health need which needs about an extra half an hour assistance in the evening. I reckon that takes my needs under section 3. "Managing therapy or monitoring a health condition" from category c worth 2 points to category d worth 4.

I have got documentary proof of the new needs, though not of exact timings..

I know that DWP only consider matters which occur before a certain cut-off point - so that you cannot raise an issue in the appeal stage which arose after the original decision. What I can't remember and can't find via the search engine is whether that cut-off point is when you put the form in, when you have the F2F assessment or when the DM decides your case. Please enlighten me.

Sorry to make you repeat basic information.

Addendum to previous post (forgot to add - in rather a state ATM. Perhaps Mod could add this to that post?)

Should I send a note of this additional point to the DWP, together with a copy of my support documentation? If so where do I send it? I have 2 copies of the document for the Atos person on Tuesday.
