Fibromyalgia and exceptional circumstances. was created by Lesley Murphy
Hi i was put in WRAG after appeal approx 12 months ago but because I was receiving contribution based esa my payments stopped in May this year. In March I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia on top of all my other complaints. I contacted DWP and asked to be considered for the support group, stating to be considered for exceptional circumstances. I have only just received a letter for my f2f which is in January next year. Has anyone else been successful in being put in the support group after claiming exceptional circumstances due to fibromyalgia? Xx

Hi and welcome back to the forum,

If you hope to be moved to the Support Group under the exceptional circumstances descriptor then the onus is on you to prove it.

This is explained in detail in the ESA guide

ESA claims and appeals
