Severe disablement premium but still in WRAG

I was recently awarded PIP (enhanced rate of both elements) for an ongoing period, won't be seen again for 10 years, and I then got a letter from ESA to inform me I would be getting more money (I assume this is severe disablement premium) If I am classed as 'severely disabled' shouldn't I be in the support group? Obviously I should have appealed the decision at the time (around June this year) but I was initially turned down for ESA completely & only got placed in WRAG after appeal & I was relieved & reluctant to appeal incase I lost the award completely. I am wary of doing anything about it for the fear of losing my ESA completely. I was awarded ESA solely due to my mental health, they didn't take into account my physical health at all, whereas now PIP have seen how badly my physical health is, and that I can walk no more than 50 metres. Would it be worth pointing out to the ESA the findings in my PIP assessment report with regard to my physical health? Or should I leave well alone?
Also could anyone tell me how long I will be in the WRAG before they try to force me into work?

Thanks in advance :)

I think it more likely to be the Enhanced Disability Premium which is payable if you are receiving Enhanced Daily Living, about £15.75 a week. The Severe Disability Premium may also be payable but it requires the claimant to complete an IS10 form before payment can be made.

I am afraid you cannot assume that because of your PIP award that you should be in the Support Group, the SG has specific criteria that need to be met and you may still not qualify, see the ESA Claim guides for the criteria. For example, whilst PIP is a walking test ESA is not, it is a Mobility test! In addition to your walking it considers your ability to self-propel a manual wheelchair over the same distances, you do not need to be using a wheelchair or even to own one for it to be considered. SO even if you can show your walking is restricted, unless you can also show that you cannot self-propel the wheelchair you will still not score points.

Whilst you are receiving ESA you cannot be asked to work or to seek work.
