Thanks for the clarification. I mistakenly thought your application was for ESA.

I received PIP for the first time ever last year. It was refused initially. I didn't use the B&W guidelines. Instead, I assumed that me being honest with the assessor would be enough. Clearly it wasn't. I got the assessor's report back and was shocked. I thought I had been sent someone else's report by mistake! (They appear to me to work on the presumption that whatever you say, even if it is the truth, is either a lie or an exaggeration.)

Subsequent to receiving the report, I studied the B & W mandatory reconsideration guidelines in detail and sent off reasons as to why I believed I fitted the descriptors, also using medical evidence and actual examples, where I could. The assessor's decision was then overturned, and I was then put on PIP for ten years.(It is at basic rate. I strongly believe it should have been enhanced, but I did not want to go through the turmoil of appealing, so I've left it as it is.)

Hope you are successful first time around. Otherwise, as my example shows, there is still hope at the mandatory re-consideration stage!

well, received the regular 'we now have enough information to make a decision about your claim'................does that mean I can expect a decision letter sooner rather than later?

Your right, the current system is cruel, and not fit for purpose. Unfortunately, there is very little we can do about it, it stinks for sure. Not sure how I will cope with a 'computer says no' letter...........since starting on this process I have been stressed more than I thought was possible.

So glad you were successful with the MR , it does give me and other hope, so thank you for sharing. Sorry you had to go through it all though.

Good luck with the ESA ...............that's my next thing . Will keep you updated.

We had seen decisions taking 6-8 weeks from this point but it did seem to speed up a bit towards the end of the year. My best guess would be 4-6 weeks.

just rang dwp to see how long the copy of report would be, i have to wait 7-10 days, also, they told me a decision has been made, and I will receive it, again, between 7-10days, they have posted it today. ...............so, not too long now..I hope!
