ESA help was created by Rae323
Please can someone help and advise me. I've recently been let go from job, I've had an awful time and I know I'm better off out of there. Now though my mental health is very low and I need to apply for ESA, how do I convince them it is much needed as they stopped it 2yrs ago and said I was fit for work which I wasn't and didn't have it in me to appeal. I get Pip for my mental disability.

If the last Decision that you had for ESA was a Fit for Work one then you can only make a new claim for ESA if you have a new condition or your existing pones have deteriorated such that you would now qualify for an award. So you need to speak to your GP about the Fit Note that they will need to issue and yo made need their assistance with completing any documentation that the DWP send you about this issue specifically.

Our ESA Claim guides are on the following link.
