How much in savings are we allowed when making a claim?
I'm afraid we do not advise on Universal Credit with the exception of ESA under UC. I would recommend that you get face to face advice, do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

Universal Credit replaces six major benefits and as many secondary ones, the majority of which we do not currently support on the forum, such as JSA and Housing Benefit.
UC has not effect on PIP, they are separate benefits.
ESA(CB) is not one of the benefits covered by UC, ESA(IR) is so it has no direct impact although it will be the UC Regulations for ESA that will be used rather than current ESA stand alone ones.
