Hi just had my letter regarding my pip and I've gone from high mobility and middle rate caer to nothing , I suffer from ulcerated colitis authorities spondylitis and problems with my hand's. My husband came to my appointment as I was so stressed out as I also suffer with depression. I use a walking stick and incontinence pads and my husband does everything from me , cooking washing helps me in the shower and I had no points I have taken your advice and sent a record letter asking for them to look at the desition again. Is there anything else I can do because I have suffered since 1987 with my health but worked full time until 2009 .And am now only under my GP Because there is nothing can be done for me regarding my health no operation for my stomach so all my consultants have referred me back to my doctor for my on going medication regards Julie salter

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I have moved your post to it's own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other people's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken. If you could make all future posts as replies to this topic it will help us and you.

The first thing I would do is go through your PIP2 and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria to score points. The criteria for PIP is very different from that used for DLA and is also very precise in regard to what you need to show.

If you have not already done so, request a copy of the assessment report from the DWP office dealing with your claim, the last Decision Letter will have the address and phone number.

Hi
I am sorry your award has not been dealt with properly according to the information you go through, clearly this is wrong.

Firstly I must tell you that I to went from DLA over long period, PIPS = NOTHING
thats what they said at start. As you get more used to the forum you will realise this is not personal against you, though i now fit feels like it. But the way the system is been brutally implemented to deny people benefits they clearly qualify for.

I am at the appeal stage and now my points have gone from 0 to Low & High award so lots of people start out in your position. If you fight for it you will get it. But you will need to concentrate on getting medical evidence that addresses the exact prescript ors (tick box questions) which will then make it easy for the DWP to change its mind. Do not argue against their reasons. You need tailored medical evidence to meet the questions head in. Think anything we will say they will ignore so this is how to win your case. You need to deal with this specific area and put your focus on that. Lots of papas about how bad your condition is will not help.

You will find the site very useful and if your not a member I would urge you to join as a full member because then you get to know the amount of points that is awarded to each question and it will help you work it out.

Sorry to be blunt, but you will not win without the specific medical evidence supporting your claim and answering the questions and proving which tick box you qualify for.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU I am sire you will find the site really useful as we all have
