Thanks for your help.
I have sent my request by registered post today. I have included gp letter and letter of support from our Local Age UK.
I have also informed DWP that more evidence is on the way.
I will let you know how I get on.

My evidence arrived 9/1/2017. ( 4 days before deadline)
How long does it usually take for DWP to inform you of the MR decision?

We're currently estimating 4-6 weeks.

Hi

I received a letter dated 12/1/2017 regarding request for reconsideration.
It states
'We're looking at the information you've given us.
We may contact you again if we need more information.

If you've not heard from us by 9 February 2017, contact us on the telephone number on this letter.'

Should I find this encouraging?

I'm afraid it's just a standard letter.

Hi Gordon
I have not heard from dwp. I am very uneasy about contacting them by telephone.
Shall I wait to see if a letter arrives?
