Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

All I can say is that we have never seen a failed PIP claim being used to trigger an ESA reassessment.

Please make full use of our PIP guide, the criteria are very different from those for DLA.

PIP help for claimants

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it makes things easier for us - and I hope you will find it usefull too :)

Hi Janet,

I have merged your query with the previous topic about your PIP as we ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic.

I am rather confused by your statement that, having applied for PIP, you now have an assessment for your DLA.

PIP is replacing PIP, a claimant can be on one or the other but not both.

I suspect that you actually have an appointment for a PIP assessment. There is a section in our PIP guide that explains what to expect.

I can only re-iterate that we have never seen a failed PIP claim used to trigger an ESA reassessment.

If you have further questions or comments about your PIP, please reply to this message, rather than starting a new topic, and we will do our best to help. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now. Alternatively, if you click on your username (in blue when you are logged into the forum) it will bring up a list of all your previous messages :)
