Thank you so much

I have just been reading your information and examples on appealing I think I am starting to understand this more now it is about using the wording they use in the descriptors instead of my own wording

I will look at the questions and descriptors again and use these words when completing answers these forms are so different and difficult compared to DLA forms

Hi
I have completed the PIP forms for my son do they look at the old DLA forms and awards or do I have to ask them to look at them as they are evidence of ongoing difficulties
Thanks

You should have been asked about this when you made the initial call to claim PIP!

Our recommendation is to include any evidence that you want them to look at with your PIP2, that way you know what is available and you can integrate it into your answers on the form.

If you did not ask the DWP to use your DLA evidence then they will not, at best it will be in offsite storage and will not be available to those assessing you.

If you did ask them to use it then they may have copies of your DLA evidence but the DWP regularly destroy old documents, so there is guarantee that it will still be available.

Even if it is available then there is no legal requirement for them to look at it and feedback from the forum suggests that they do not on the vast majority of occasions.
