DLA to PIP, condition can fluctuate

Need help with husbands application transferring DLA to PIP.
He's been on DLA higher mobility and higher daily living for over 15 years, indefinite for last 10,
The qualifying conditions are not present 100% of the time, his DLA application was granted when his condition seriously affected him 5 days out of 7, ie he was bed bound most of the time but was able to get out of bed with assistance and move slowly around the house with assistance on approx 2 days a week.
How often do they need to be present to qualify for same allowance from PIP?

PIP uses "on the majority of days", this is slightly more favourable than the DLA "majority of the time", see the PIP Claim guide for more information.
