Pip problems was created by Julie Laugharne
Hi all i recently went through my transition pip its turned out a nightmare. The report was complete lies and the biggest one was that they gave me a physical examination and the all was good. The examiner didnt get out from his seat. Everything i said was down played and i dont think he had read my notes in the slightest i provided 10 pages of addtional information. I requested a mandatory reconsideration and told them to wait for my care managers report as they said the hadnt recieved it. They recieved my letter on the 30th and sent their reply on the 3rd with no time for the other report to arrive. The with held there original descicion to lower my mobility to standard ive been on high rate dls for 20 yrs and middle rate care for indefinate period they have on given me a 2 yr ward. Im so frustrated. Instead of being slow it seems they have deliberatly been fast to avoid the extra report to arrive. I now have to go to appeal and lose my car in 2 weeks. Has anyone had atos has done a physical examination when they havent????? Im so distressed :(

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

You have two options going forward;

You can ask the DWP to carry out a second MR based on the fact that they did not wait for you to send additional information as you informed them that you would.

Or you can go straight on to appeal.

Revision of the original Decision at the MR stage do happen but it is none the less quite rare, perhaps no more than 10% of the time, appeal success rates for PIP are over 60% but obviously the process will take longer.
