DLA to PIP was created by Dawn Heap
Hi thank you all for your help on here just wondering if you can give me more. I was on full DLA and they put me on high mobility and low care. Nothing has changed. I work 16 hours on the comp but need lots help. I asked for a reconsideration and it stayed the same. What do I do now?

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I'm sorry you are going through this
The first thing to say is that PIP has deliberately been made harder to get than DLA and the criteria for each are different, so it is possible that the award is correct.
You need to score at least 12 points on the daily living section in order to get enhanced care. Have a look at our PIP guide and see whether there is anywhere you believe you should have scored more. If so you have a choice of two options - leave well alone or go to appeal.
PIP help for claimants
You will have 1 month, from the date on the MR decision letter, in which to submit an appeal request to the Tribunal Service. You will need an SSCS1 form, you can download one here
www.gov.uk/pip/appeals
The PIP guide explains the appeal process. You do not need to send in a lot of information initially. At some stage you will get a 'bundle' of paperwork from PIP and you can then add your rebuttal of their comments to your explanation of how/why you should score points against the descriptors.
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
