Interview at JC+ when in support group

Hello,

I was relieved to be placed in the ESA support group with a recommendation of two years and PIP for four years - high rate mobility and a low rate care. However, I received a little while ago one of those "we need to check your personal information" letters from DWP asking me for an interview at my local JC+. They say they want to keep my details up to date to ensure that I get the correct amount of benefit and that 8 out of 10 people come to this meeting. They also say that by not attending this meeting, my benefit could be stopped as they will not know whether they have the correct details on file to support my claim.

I'm wondering if you, by now, have more information about these interviews? Needless to say, I really don't want to go, but it sounds mandatory...

Many thanks!

Kind regards,

B.

Thank you, Gordon, I have just read it, but it would be good to know what this interview is like and if this is just another way they try to 'catch' us - to see how we are getting there, how we walk or not or whatever else. I tried to call the JC+ person who signed the letter, but the answerphone is always on... :-(
Thanks!

Most members who have been through this have reported that the interview turned out to be rather unexciting (thankfully). Maybe someone will see your topic and comment.

Thank you! It's a relief to hear it's not 'vicious', but there is always that worry...
