Some stats - Upper Tribunal cases for PIP was created by BenefitsBod
Over 70 Upper Tribunal decisions are in the public domain and I thought some stats as to the outcomes might be of interest (the stats include three decisions published on another site). Not all cases are published so, by definition, this isn't even close to all the decisions that have been made by the Upper Tribunal.

76 decisions, covering 79 cases, were considered.

69 of the 79 were claimant appeals against decisions of the First-tier Tribunal; 10 were DWP appeals.

Of the 69 claimant appeals:
- 45 were remitted (sent back) for a further First-tier Tribunal hearing
- 6 were found outright in favour of the claimant
- 18 were found in favour of the DWP

Of the 10 DWP appeals:
- 4 were remitted (sent back) for a further First-tier Tribunal hearing
- 2 were found outright in favour of the DWP
- 4 were found in favour of the claimant

Totals:
- 49 remitted back for a further FtT hearing
- 10 in favour of the claimant
- 20 in favour of the DWP

Likely margin of error: less than 2%
