Is it good idea take Music player to Consultaton ? was created by Monty Python
Is it a good idea to go scruffy to my PIP Consultation ? I would normally get myself quite a bit smarter than I live for long periods on my own at home when I go out to any appointment I have to go to but that takes a lot of effort, hours from me,to get passed my Mental and Physical problems to do,
so as the PIP Consultation is about your Daily Living Ability which is the vast amount of time on my own in my flat, not smartening up,and going as I am normally at home would more accurately give them evidence of my Daily Living.
So no those grounds and because of the bias of maybe the Health Professional and the DWP Decision Maker (I've forgotten the new name the DWP are using for them but think it might be Case Manger)
Then is it OK to go scruffy (I am veyr unshaved, shows my unkempt split end and really entangled hair which I normally hide under a beanie when I go out though I don;t locally on the rare occasions i go to the local shop where I just go scruffy as I am). It does after all repreesnt my ability to live Daily the vast amount of the time
and provides part of the evidence which I can show at the PIP to prove things on my forms and added sheets to them and is it safe to do so given the bias of those involved assessing me,which even if they still turned me down
when I go to appeal if I show that too as part of my evidence to prove my difficulties with living Daily because of all my problems then surely that evidence cannot be denied and probably would work in my favour at Appeal anyway ?

Is it a good idea to go with any sort of Music Player to listen to Music while I wait for my PIP Consultation and is it a good idea to tell them about accordantly spilling a bottle of beer over my PS Vita which I mainly use to play Music on which looks like it s now unrecoverable so will cost me up to £160-170 to replace for new as that provides evidence how I make mistakes to damage equipment in my home which requires money from me to replace.
I've got some much smaller Music Players you use an SD card on to maybe take with me to play Music on instead if I can get the SD card trapped in one of them out,so is it a good idea to tell them about that, because that's another example of mistakes I make because of my problems
So I could take that but only if I can get the SD card out which is trapped deep down in one of them to be able to use in the waiting area
which would be replacing the PS Vita which at the moment is drying out but unlikely to work again which Ive been using for a while to replace the small Music Players.
I mean it is normally a bad idea I think to tell them about using any Technological Equipment because they can twist that to say it shows abilities which can be sued in a workplace,
but it;s unfair as it doesn't require much thinking to operate them just simple button presses and prevents me being able to tell them about accidents mistakes I have which prove my difficulties with Daily Living, just because of their bias and maybe trying to twist anything to say ability to work. the Environment in the Waiting Room at where I m going or rather forced to go through genuine ill health too
is very unpleasant to sit and wait in lots of noise,by a gift shop and with a security buzzer beeping over and over at side of the couches that are waited on for the PIP Consultations and I could do without the Mental Torture of having to sit through that as I wait for my PIP Consultation. I have a lot of trouble waiting or being anywhere surrounded by lots of people I don;t know (trust issues) and a problem dealing with noise forced on me. I of coarse use headphones to not annoy other people with my music which I use to block out these other things and I would only have one earphone in to keep other ear free to listen out for when they were ready for me to go to my PIP Consultation, of coarse.

Hi MP,
When I have a moment I will merge your PIP queries into one topic as we ask members not to start a new topic for each question.
If you need to take a music player to block out external stimulus, I don't see anything wrong with that (as long as, as you say, you will not be annoying others with your music). You can explain to the assessor why you have done this.
If part of your problem, as explained in your PIP2, is dropping/damaging things then you can briefly say that you damaged your device due to this.
Please reply to this message with your further questions or comments and we will do our best to help. You will find it easily in future if you favourite/bookmark it on your web browser now. Alternatively, if you click on your username (in blue when you are logged into the forum) it will bring up a list of all your previous messages

If your conditions are ones that mean that you do not look after yourself well, perhaps you need prompting to wash and dress or you have physical problems that prevent or limit your ability to do these activities, then you should not make any additional effort for the assessment.
Otherwise, whatever you feel like on the day.
