PIP was created by Kim Rees
I have been awarded ESA support group but unfortunately I have been denied PIP I am trying to decide whether to go to appeal because the main extra piece of evidence I have is the medical report from my ESA assessment though I know the descriptors for the two are different there are significant areas that follow both such as pain in mobility issues and some areas of daily living which appear to have been overlooked by the PIP assessor could it jeopardise my appeal using one against the other.

Help me please I don't know what to think about anything at the moment.

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

It will not jeopardise your case to use the ESA report in support of your PIP. However, nor will it do you much good unless you clearly point out how the ESA comments support your contention that you cannot carry out the tasks relating to the PIP descriptors.

Your first step in challenging the PIP decision is to request a Mandatory Reconsideration. The process is explained in our PIP guide.

PIP help for claimants

You should also request a copy of the PIP assessor's report if you have not already done so. This will give you a much better idea as to why your claim failed and we will be able to give more advice.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
