Advice plase, DLA to PIP reassessment awarded 0 was created by Michael ecccles
I have recently been through my DLA to PIP reassessment after having lifetime DLA award, I have a diagnosis of epilepsy with various seizures and absences occurring at least 4-6 times daily, dissociative seizures and dyslexia. I was awarded 0 at review despite following you guidance to the tee. I am waiting reconsideration but am looking for further advice on the majority of time rule, how is this applied and how can I challenge it

DLA uses a majority of the time rule, for PIP it is the majority of days.

DLA also had a general need for supervision this enabled a lot of claimants with conditions such as epilepsy to qualify for an award. PIP does not have this rule, all requirements for supervision must be specific to the PIP activities. Obvious activities that this would apply to are Preparing Food and Washing and Bathing but you would still struggle to score sufficient points for an award on these two activities.
