Awaiting response for pip assessment but away for was created by Mickyplum
Hi I'm new to this. I returned my pip form on 3rd Jan and had email confirming receipt. I am going away on 3rd Feb until 5th Mar, what would you advise.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I would inform the Assessment Provider for your postcode. See
www.gov.uk/government/publications/pip-postcode-map-uk
www.atoshealthcare.com/
www.capita-pip.co.uk/contact-us.aspx
and the DWP office dealing with your claim.
The AP is only required to give you seven days notice of an assessment appointment so you could easily miss one and have your claim closed while you are away. Although this is an appealable Decision, it can take months to sort out.
