In May 2016, I posted off my Capability For Work Questionaire , commonly known as an ESA50 form. However, it was not until December 2016 that they sent me a letter to attend in person my face to face meeting which was scheduled for today. Today I arrived 30 mins before my appointment time & waited a further 15 mins after that appointment time to ask when they expected to call me. I was told that it woud be at least another hour or more & that they were sorry for the delay. As a seasoned client of the DWP system, I told them that I could not wait around that amount of time, to which they replied that they could reschedule another appointment for Feb, but there would be no guarantee that the time delay would not occur again. I agreed to another appointment be sent out to me & they arranged a taxi to take me home at their expense.
Please do not assume that you have to suffer pain in silence when they cannot keep within a reasonable time of your appointment.
