Fit NoteHi was created by ccactus
Just a quick note to say I have just received a phone call from DWP to say they are accepting my Fit Note as I have a new condition, which is a relief. Can I assume that I now continue to send sick notes in until I am either re-assessed or win my Mand Reconsideration, or does the sick note supersede the Mand Rec with the fact I have a new condition; so therefore will have to undergo a new medical. Sorry about all the questions I keep asking but the rules around the benefits system are mind boggling to the layman. Many thanks.

You need to provide Fit Notes until an award is made.
At the moment your new claim and the MR are separate processes, it will only be if an award is made on the MR that they will become one. If the new claim results in an award then the MR and/or appeal process continues unless withdraw it, but be aware that any Decision that results from them will be limited by the new award.
