Am I able to take a recording of my assessment at the assessment centre or is it best to have a home visit so that I can record my answers. Do you also think it is reasonable to ask the person who is doing the assessment if she knows what MS is and what it does to you before thecassessment starts

Whether you record it at their offices or your home you need to request permission to do so from the Assessment Provider, the recording must be made simultaneously to two tapes or CDs, you cannot make a digital recording.

You can certainly ask the assessor what their experience of MS is but be aware, assessors are not required to have a detailed knowledge of the claimants conditions, this is a functional assessment not a medical.
