This contradicts the B&W "Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews", [removed] On p.12 it says
So now I am worrying that my claim may be closed because I didn't return this form. Should I call the DWP to ask for it to be sent to me?
N.B. The DWP site makes no mention of the PIP1 form being signed and returned:

"Once you have completed the telephone interview you will be sent a copy of the completed form to check, sign and return. If your completed form is not returned within the time limit given in the accompanying letter your claim will be closed. For this reason, you should try to ensure that you get a certificate of posting when you return the form."

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I have moved your post to it's own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other members topics as it leads to confusion and can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.
The PIP1 is occasionally sent out to the claimant where there are outstanding issues with the claim, when PIP was originally introduced almost all PIP1s were sent to the claimant for signature, changes to the claim process mean that the DWP can now accept the claimants verbal signature.
If there was a problem with your PIP1 then you would have been notified.
Have you received your PIP2 yet?

Yes I have. So I can assume there's nothing wrong with my PIP1. Thanks for explaining and for putting my question in its own topic.
