Assessment dates was created by ken
After you fill in all the appropriate forms etc what is the average waiting period for a face to face assessment (if you've been given one) or does it vary from region to region.
Also could or does the letter that gives you a date for the assessment be delivered to you just before the actual date of the assessment.
I mean disabled people are not banned from having a holiday, what happens if you are away on the date of the assessment, do you have to state you will be unavailable on certain days in the additional info pages, what sort of info do you have to give them, example, where you will be etc, is there such a thing as like the 3 strikes and you're out synopsis or if it was after the fact would you simply be reprimanded if you explained why you did not turn up for the assessment.

We would expect most claimants to receive notification of an assessment within 2-3 weeks of their PIP2 being returned. The Assessment Providers are required to give claimants seven days written notice of an appointment although this includes postage time, lead times can be as short as the seven days up to a couple of weeks.
You can cancel or rearrange one appointment, but must attend the second whenever or wherever it is arranged for, failing to do so will result in your claim being closed.
