ESA - After assessment!! was created by abundancexx
Hi there ,
Wonder if you can give me some advice!!
I already claim ESA (support group) and had to fill out a new assessment form, I was then invited for a face to face assessment.
Had my face to face assessment in Dec 16, recieved a letter from ESA this week, explaining my rates of pay and when my rates will change as I'm currently paying off for a social fund. It also says my rates from January is because of a decision on my capability for work and that I have been placed in the support group.
Although it sounds as if I have passed the assessment and have been placed in the support group. The letter does not clarify for example, I would of thought it would of said something along the lines of: after having your face to face assessment we have placed you in the support group.
Just wanted to know if this is the standard letter of their way of telling you, you can continue to claim ESA.
Many thanks in advance

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I am afraid that it is not unusual for DWP letters to be less than clear, almost all of them are standard letters written years ago by people not involved in the operation of the benefit to which they apply.
The only way that you will know for certain is for you to contact the DWP office that deals with your claim and ask.
