Dla to pip

Hi I've just received the dreaded brown envelope from dla , to see if I want to change over to pip.

I've been on dla since around 2002 , I've had many operations on my back . Had discs taken out and rods cages etc fitted . I've lived on tablets all my life . Morphine is one of the main tablets I take , but cause I've been on them many years don't seem to help and the pain is 24/7 . I've also had epidurals nerve root injections to which none have worked . I'm now waiting to have another operation on my back which is called a nerve root stimulator it's like a pace maker fitted into my back .

At the minute my dla is indefinitely and has been this for years , but I know this means nothing now .
I feel sick worrying about it already , it says I've got to ring them by the 13 th February to see if I want to change over , I can ring or someone can ring for me but I've got to be there.
I've got all my old dla forms somewhere in the house , but they are from years ago . Do I just copy off them as yes things are they same but have got worse over the last 4years . I've been backwards and forwards to hospitals to have different treatment but none worked. At the minute I'm on full dla for care /mobility.

What's my next move and how do I go on with the form when it comes.

Thank you for your reply. Everything is worse then when I last sent my dla forms off over 20 years ago . I'm waiting on a operation but it's only a 40/60% it works . Do u think it's linked with me sending my esa off on Dec and not having a reply from that either . Do I put exactly the same answers I've just put on my esa forms last month . I will ring tomorrow for the pip form . I've felt sick all day . Can I ring my special and doctors to print all my letters as it's got worse in the last 4 years .

Everyone on DLA (except those who were 65 in April 2013) will be 'invited' to claim PIP (note that your DLA will not continue if you decide not to claim PIP!). As far as we are aware, the selection process is random. I don't expect it has anything to do with your ESA reassessment.

You need to understand that the criteria for PIP are as different from ESA as they are from DLA. If you simply repeat what you put on the ESA50 from, you will be doing yourself a dis-service.

Please read the PIP guide carefully before you complete that PIP2 form.

Hi I've received my pip for to change from dla , any advice I don't know where to start , whether to put yes no unsure anything .

Been on the old dla for 18 years . Sent my esa form off on the 25/11/16 and still waiting for that to come back .,

I've rang them yesterday as I sent a doctors letter a few days later but to a different address one person said yes we have got the form but no letter. They gave me a different no which I rang and yes said yes got letter and form , but it's still been looked at. But first bloke said yes it looks fine from this end.

Any advice on what to put or where to start. Thank you dawns
