Which questions should I answer on my PIP form?

Hi,
This may sound a silly question but I haven’t seen the answer yet! I have received the mobility element of DLA for many years & have just received a letter saying I now need to submit a claim for PIP.
I have looked through the excellent PIP guide & it gives advice on both elements (daily living & mobility), although, I only want to claim for the mobility element.
Will answering the questions targeting daily living (preparing food, dressing & bathing) gain any points that would help the mobility element or are they totally separate?

Any help very gratefully received!!

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

There can be areas of overlap between the two Mobility activities and some of the Daily living activities. Indicating problems for the Daily Living activities can be supportive of a Mobility award and conversely failing to do so may also impact on your receiving a Mobility award.

Some examples.

If you have problems with walking then you may also have problems with Preparing Food and Washing and Bathing both of which would be expect to require you to stand for prolonged periods.

If you have cognitive issues that prevent you planning and/or navigating a route then this could also cause problems with Making Decision about Money,

Mental Health problems such as Social Anxiety that prevent you undertaking a Journey make also cause problems with Mixing with other People.

You may not score enough points for a Daily Living award but if you have issues with any of the DL activities then I would explain them, if only to support your Mobility problems.
