How do you know if your esa renewal is successful

Hi have now been waiting four and a half months to hear if my daughter 's esa support group renewal was successful.last time we filled a form in (thanks to this group!), she was awarded esa with no medical assessment. This time the only correspondence we have had was a ''brown envelope '' stating benefit changes in April, on top of this her DlA to Pip is here and has to be back next week.
My question is do they (like at the initial stage) inform you your renewal is successful or just continue paying the esa as before?
I ask this desperately as I am disabled myself and the terrible stress (which I know so many people are having) is deteriorating my own health very badly (with the constant postman watch every day) and my daughter has already been self-harming, as she is so afraid of coming face to face with these people, any help or advice would be so greatly appreciated, and I thank this group for the fantastic information which has been for us both so invaluable.

Hi Jane and welcome to the forum :)

I'm glad that we have been able to help you with your daughter's claim.

Every decision DWP make should be notified in writing. If you have not had a decision letter, you can contact DWP and ask what is happening. Or you could contact Maximus and ask them if they have finished the assessment and returned the file to DWP yet.

If you have further questions about your daughter's ESA, please reply to this and we will do our best to help. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now :)
