who actually looks at the PIP2 form, does the assessor get to see what you have put down in the PIP2 form, does the assessor ask the same questions as on the PIP2 form if not are there any resources where you can see what the assessors ask you
Does the Decision maker get to see both what the assessor has written down, or put on a computer and what you have written in the PIP2 form

Hi Ken,

The PIP2, and everything you send in with it, will be scanned onto the computer. The assessor should see and consider everything, not just the PIP2, before they make a recommendation to DWP.

The DWP Decision Maker will also have access to everything you submit. However, as they have no medical knowledge, they tend to pay most attention to the assessor's report and recommendations.

The PIP guide explains what to expect at the face2face, if you are required to undergo one.

If/when you have further questions or comments about your PIP claim, please reply to this message rather than starting a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic. You will find this easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now. Alternatively you can click on your username (in blue when you are logged into the forum) and it will bring up a list of all your previous messages :)

when the assessment is finished can the claimant actually see what the assessor has put on the computer before they leave?

You can ask, whether the assessor will agree is another matter. You can request a copy of the assessment report a couple of days after the assessment is done by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.
