Hi I would appreciate any feedback regarding this please. I was in receipt of DLA both enhanced but PIP I have only been awarded standard of both. I a, struggling what to provide to show that I can't walk 20 mtrs and although I had my assessment in a wheelchair and stood only for relief of my symptoms I was told THE assessor believes I can walk 20-50.......based on what ??
My dr provided a letter saying I could only walk 15 metres until pain would not all me to go further. My consultant physio said the same..... what else can I provide ????
Any advice would be appreciated, there were so many false statements in the reconsideration report, I was disgusted as I opened my heart and discussed with a total stranger things only my husband knows about my needs and she just ignored them. She also said I had used minimal effort when squeezing her hand even though she told me to squeeze until it started to hurt!!!!!!
Thank you jozzer

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I know it will sound counter intuitive, but in regard this matter I would ignore the assessment report. The assessor is stating an opinion and you will struggle to argue against this head on, your efforts would be far better spent explaining why you cannot "reliably" walk 20m "on the majority of days".
What condition(s) cause the restriction?
How do they manifest?
How often are you effected?
What is the manner of your walking?
are you in pain?
do you walk slowly?
do you have to stop even within the 20m?
how long does it take to walk the distance you can walk?

Thanks Gordon it's very easy to loose sight and get wound up with the lies rather than focus on why's etc. I will do that and hopefully I will put aside the silly comments she made.
