Hi 74
Read your post to and would be very interested to know what sort of good news is there in the pipe line for lower motability on PIP,I do know motability does give a grant towards a deposit if you take a new car out with them but you have to show you have no money whatsoever to qualify for it.Thank you

A Minister made some out of context remarks about the Motability scheme and PIP at the end of last year, as far as I am aware there has been no additional details revealed, if indeed there are any in the first place.

Yes indeed Gordon I phone Motability this morning as a dear friend of mine, has been downgrade to low on both and is to hand over the car on Thurs.Motability said to me that they only provide the cars and DWP send the payment and that they cannot get involved with anything.

The gentleman at Motability stated that if you get high rate mob on PIP yes you are entitled to join the scheme. He also said that there is no other situation being thought off and was deeply sorry that the people are having to hand back their cars.

At this rate I doubt that alot of garages are going to be in business as there where alot of cars out on motability. Its a great shame all round and especially for the disabled person having no 4 wheels to get out and about.

Hi B and W

I was wondering if you could give your views on the following,I asked my Cardiology for a up to date report and he kindly did. He notes all of my problems and how long I have been with him etc.

There is a paragraph (,at present Mr X tells me that he suffers chest pain, severe breathlessness and fatigue after 20 metres of walking. He would sometimes have to stop several times during a 20 m walk to catch his breath.)

Then later in the report the Dr states Mr X does not see any prospect of improvement over the next while and has had a slow but gradual deterioration in his physical abilities over the last six years.

Names tablets I am on and says I will require regular follow ups re heart and failure etc refers to a recent suspected stroke, and says he considers me significantly disabled by these various problems and he be happy to give further info or detail as required.

I was wondering if this would be considered as good enough evidence for me to attach to my PIP application when I am asked to do so,or what way do the DHSS look at things.Thank you.

I don't see anything wrong with it, how it will be viewed will depend on the information that you include in the PIP2 to explain why you cannot walk more than 20m.

Thank you Gordon its nice to get another persons view on it .I am studying the guides B and W have and believe I can show it in words how my limitations affect me.

Where could I find PIP forms to print off please. As I would like to start to fill it in as it will probably take me a long time and aleast I dont have to rush.

As always thank you for your speedy reply.
