Thinking of appealing against decision of standard rate PIP for higher rate and for low mobility too (none awarded at present). Anyone care to share their experiences of whether it was worth it or if they ended up worse off. Any stories most appreciated thanks all x

If I appeal against the decision to award me standard care aiming for higher rate care am I in a MR risking them to change the award and possibly at risk of losing it?
If I appeal just for mobility having scored nothing for it first time could I ask the MR to just look at this and leave my care alone or will they automatically look at both?
I feel I have made a good case for higher rate care I am just scared I suppose of losing it - awful really that we have this threat if you like hanging over us and another DWP tactic to discourage appeals.
Any advice appreciated thank you

An MR or appeal re-makes the original Decision which means that those performing the review can reach any Decision that was available to the original Decision Maker, this includes a reduced or removed award. It does not happen very often, we probably see it about once every month in the forum, but it is something you must consider before proceeding with a challenge.
