Thank you once again Gordon you are a star. I have now made a decision to not to appeal as my anxiety levels are so high from investing so much time in this it is making me ill again. Bottom line is I need to maintain my mental health and not risk a relapse.
On a positive note I am no worse off than under PIP and did not have to undergo an assessment - small mercies!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support and patience best wishes Nicola xx

Remember you can make a Late Appeal up to 13 months after the Decision but will need to provide Good Reason why the appeal is late, your health could well be accepted as that reason.

Thank you Gordon. After an awful few days I have decided I cannot appeal as my mental health isnt strong enough. If I wanted the option to appeal at a later date possibly should I let the DWP know now that I am unhappy with the decision but cannot face appealing due to poor ill? Also should I see my GP who is very good and get it noted on my medical records so if I did decide in the future I can produce evidence? thanks again

It can't hurt to write to the DWP, as to talking to your GP, it's up to you but I'm not sure of the value as an appeal cannot take account of any changes in your conditions that occurred after the Decision.

Thanks. The condition has always been present - just the stress of appealing has tipped me over the edge right now.
