ESA additional amounts and back dating was created by liddiaellen
Hi my husband today got the outcome of his esa award it was renewed as before thank goodness. but an additional amount seems to of appeared.
we have
living expenses 114.85
support group 36.20
and 22.60 extra money because of the disability guarentee would this have gone up because I have been awarded PIP?
If this is additional because i get pip should it be backdated

The Disability Income Guarantee also know as the Enhanced Disability Premium is paid for two reason, either because a claimant is in the ESA Support Group or because they or their partner is receiving the Enhanced rate of PIP Daily Living.
You say that it is a new amount, just added. Has your husband been moved to the SG from the WRAG? Have you received a PIP award, two days ago we were still talking about completing the form!

Hi Gordon I received back dated PIP award at tribunal for three years at the beginning of 2016 back dated two years so March 2014 - march 2017
My husbands ESA did not change at this point but he had a re assesment late 2016 and got the letter last week confirming he has remained in the same group he is in the support group.
Could it be they have added this amount because I have got PIP and should it have been backdated as per my PIP award ?

As I said, both of you appear to qualify so it ought to have been backdated to when they first of your qualified, providing you were eligible at the time.
