I have been told by CIT Advice Bureau that my benefits owed to me following my tribunal amount to just over £800. I have had no contact from the DWP regarding the updated payments due and February s payment was still at the old rate. I am terrified to contact the DWP as I feel they are not on my side but I want to know how long I may have to wait for the repayment and the new amount. Is there anyway this can be stopped now? I am having a major relapse at the moment as a result of all the stress I ve been under for the past year, I really do not think I could handle any more of it. Is it likely that anything else can be done to me to avoid paying me my benefit won in a court tribunal. I am just so worried it's making me ill again.
It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal Decision.
I know that you are nervous of contacting the DWP but it would really be worth your while calling them to make sure that they have the Decision Notice, it is frightening how many of these they lose.
It would be very unusual for the DWP to pursue the matter further but they do (as do you), have a further right of appeal, but not because they disagree with the Decision, only because they believe that there was an Error in the making of the Decision.
