Hi, I just wondered if I need to attend the job centre with my bank statement because at the time I was on income related but now being moved back to contribution based. Also I'm in the support group so do I really need to attend?
I rang the number a few times to ask and to ask about disability access, but there is no answer. I left a message too but nobody's got back to me. I don't know if I will be able to make it on the day but even the benefits office told me to let them know I will be on contribution based. I have said this in the message too but what if they don't reply by the time I need to go in and I'm not even physically able to go in?
Please can someone advise.

The DWP, as a condition of your receiving your benefit, can make reasonable requests for documentation on your financial situation. If a meeting has been booked then I have to advise you to attend if you are physically able to, failing to do so can result in your benefit being suspended.

All I can suggest is that you contact the office and ask what it is about, they should be able to defer it until you are well and it may be possible to hold the interview over the phone if you conditions would affect your ability to attend.
