My mandatory reconsideration letter was posted and I received a reply very quickly after. I got the same low points award and the reason for this exactly the same as first refusal but re - worded. I have decided that my claim is genuine and decided to take things further i.e. Tribunal. Out this morning first thing to CAB in Mansfield Nottinghamshire, they open at 9.30am ,arrived at this time to find myself at the back of a queue ,with at least several people before me. I was turned away after an hour & half wait due to lack of staff and they now fully booked. WOW that was fun !! NOT CAB fault and I realise that and appreciate what they do. I was given a tele no for another organization that may be able to help however that was a blank also. I need help with the forms and also representation at the Tribunal due to anxiety and memory problems. Back home now and searching on internet for local organisations that will help me. It would appear that after several phone calls to various legal help and advise bureaus that the help I require is no longer available in my area. I am now angry and confused. Not sure what to do next ?? . Looking for any advise on what to do next. Thanks for reading.

Replied by slugsta on topic Appeal to the First Tier Tribunal for PIP
HI Ann,

I am afraid that,as you have found, finding this kind of help is very difficult these days, especially as legal aid has been withdrawn for First Tier Tribunals. We do have members who have successfully represented themselves.

You have 1 month for your appeal request to be submitted to the Tribunal Service and accepted without question. You need to use a SSCS1 form.

www.gov.uk/social-security-child-support...unal/appeal-tribunal

You do not have to include a lot of information with the form. Wait until you get the paperwork from DWP and you can then argue against what they have said.

Our PIP guide explains the appeal process and we will answer your questions if we can.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
