My esa home visit today was created by mikmikmik
Hi, I have just had a home visit today. I have both physical and mental health issues, in most sections of the esa claim. I am currently in the support group. My assessment was unusual as it entirely concentrated on the walking, standing, dressing and feeding. The assessment lasted 40 mins, and quite a bit of time was spent fiddling with the wonky recorder. I wasn't asked to do any movements or walking, and wasn't asked about any other issues. I'm told it will take 8 weeks plus for results of a paper assessment. I just wondered if only asking about some issues is normal, can I still get points if not raised? and not having to do exercise, as not happened to me before.

A lot of assessors stick to the areas that they are (a) trained in and (b) avoid areas that they are not.
I'm afraid you will have to wait for the Decision to see whether this has an effect on an award, but just because you were not asked questions about an activity does not mean that the assessor was unable to comment or that a Decision Maker cannot award points for it.
