I sent my forms in to apply for PIP over a week ago. I was given an indefinite award 7 years ago and I will be 68 this year. Yesterday, my GP gave me a report that she had done for me to have a look at. It was a good report. Should I send this in separately to the DWP or wait until I am asked to go to a medical (as an advice worker has told me) ? I am a bit confused about all this. Could anyone please give me any advice.

I would wait until you have the address for the Assessment Providers office and then send a copy to them and the DWP office dealing with your claim, if an assessment is required then take a copy to the interview and ask the assessor to read it and include it in your file.

Hi Dee, I would make a copy of the report and send it in, for a quick response I send mine by the local job centre. Who,scan the report and sent it off electronically as I have done with my fit notes I got acknowledgement by the end of the day. But take report to assessment just in case they have not seen it or put on your paper file for assessor. Best wishes.
